In the first lines of his song 1977, singer-songwriter Patrice Michaud sings about writing his and a loved one’s name in a crook in Capucins, where he spent his childhood. Music has been a part of Gaspésie for generations, and the locals are always ready to dance the night away.

Ainsi vont les premières lignes de la chanson 1977 de Patrice Michaud, auteur-compositeur-interprète qui a passé son enfance à Cap-Chat. La musique habite la Gaspésie depuis de nombreuses générations et ses habitants sont toujours prêts à danser durant une veillée endiablée. Les murs de la petite maison rose ont aussi résonné sous des mélodies envoûtantes puisque Gaston Paradis, violoneux qui en a fait giguer plus d’un, y a vécu avec ses cinq enfants.
