Yohanne's art studio hosted many friends and artists when they visited Gaspésie, including Richard Séguin. She listened to her favorite music there, including Richard Desjardins' “Tu m'aimes-tu?

As a member of the Cercle des Fermières des Capucins, she knitted, sewed, embroidered and made creative quilts. This group still exists, but the Centre Socio-Culturel where the weavers work is threatened with closure.
